Please note: if you register for a combination of FULL DAY and EARLY Partial days, you may find that exclusively using the FULL DAY option, instead, is the more economical option. Please be sure to check your total. Parents are responsible for selecting and adjusting their aftercare schedules to match with their enrichment choices. Our software does not automatically adjust the aftercare based on enrichment enrollment.

Pre-K aftercare rates

Aftercare is available to Pre-K students, for full days or Early Partial days, from dismissal until 6:30pm. Aftercare begins with the first full day of school for Pre-K students Students at the PS 58 Pre-K Annex will be met there by Carroll Kids counselors and escorted to PS 58. Students convene in the cafeteria where they are given snack and play games until regular school dismissal at 2:35pm. Their special Pre-K counselor then escorts them to their classroom where they engage in free play, arts & crafts, games and schoolyard play. A second snack is provided for those staying until 6:30pm. Parents may pick-up at any time by checking in at Carroll Kids lobby desk.

Rates for drop in sessions

Drop in sessions may be purchased individually for $60 for K–5 & $65 for Pre-K. For detailed information on drop in sessions, please see Coverage Options.

Rates for coverage during school non-attendance days

These rates are for coverage during non-attendance days, when the building is open but students do not attend school. Students may register for all-day camp (8:30am to 6:30pm) and/or extended day (3pm to 6:30pm). The cost of “Carroll Kids Camp” varies on the activities planned. Please see Coverage Options for additional details.

Fees

Registration fee

There is an annual non-refundable registration fee of $25 per family, which covers your children for the entire school year or any portion thereof. This is an administrative fee for Carroll Kids Aftercare to cover the cost of our software. It does not cover nor can it be applied to the program fee.

Late pickup fee

We understand that people occasionally run late, but at the same time ask you to please keep in mind that our staff has commitments of its own beyond Carroll Kids. Should you run later than 6:30pm, a late fee of $10 will be charged until 6:45pm and an additional $25 until 7pm will be billed to your account. Please do not think of this as an additional service, and unfortunately once the school is closed your child and our counselor will not be permitted to wait inside the building. We reserve the right to drop students from the program when families exceed five latenesses. Late fees must be paid by the end of month

Payment

Beginning this school year, registration for aftercare will be on a session basis. Parents may choose to pay the full session fee or divide it into four payments. We accept American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, personal checks, and money orders. We do not accept cash.

Registrations made online will be automatically charged to your credit card on file in your account. To change your payment method, please update your account on Sawyer by clicking here.

Outstanding balance policy

As of December 1, 2017, accounts with balances in excess of $100 for greater than 90 days will be suspended. This means your child will not be able to participate in our aftercare program until your account is paid in full.

Sibling discounts

Carroll Kids Aftercare fees apply to the first child in each family; additional students will receive a 15% discount. Please note: there is no sibling discount on Carroll Kids Enrichment Classes.

Financial aid

We provide scholarship aid based on individual needs with minimal documentation, and all financial aid applications are confidential. There is no deadline to apply for 2024-25 Carroll Kids Afterschool Scholarships, but if you anticipate need, we suggest that you complete the application before August 12, so that you will have a determination by the start of the new school year. If granted, please also contact the Carroll Kids administrators so that they can provide you with additional assistance as you register your child(ren).

Children who qualify for aftercare scholarships will receive care at no cost. Scholarships are also given for enrichment classes (one class per session per child; amount $TBD).

To apply for financial aid, please fill out the application. If you have questions, please email Carolyn Pravda at cpravda@ps58pta.org.
